George’s Caters Baylor ’74 Team Reunion Dinner

George’s recently had the honor of feeding members of the 1974 Baylor University Southwest Conference Championship Football Team and fans at the Lunch with a Legend series event, held at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.

Members of the ’74 team were joined by John Morris, the Voice of the Bears, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the “Miracle on the Brazos” team. Attendees enjoyed classic George’s fare, an informative discussion and a tour through the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, a museum honoring more than 400 Texas legends and home to 6,000 pieces of sports memorabilia.

As an added bonus, there was a very special alumnus in attendance: Chip Gaines, of Fixer Upper fame, and his father, Bob Gaines, who grabbed a quick picture with George’s owner Sammy Citrano.

George’s Restaurant is a long-standing supporter of the Baylor University and the games regularly occupy the big screens at George’s and George’s #2, both great spots to cheer on the Bears!
